Recently, my sister got her Appendix surgery done from Swastik Nursing Home, Jyoti Nagar, Tinsukia, Assam 786125, under ESIC (http://www.esic.nic.in).
As per ESIC cabin/rooms are not allowed to the patients. They will have to stay in general wards. But my sister took a cabin/room by paying extra from her pocket.
On asking for the bill for extra amount paid, the owner, Mr. Jalan refused it saying it is not there rule to give bill. And they will also not accept credit/debit or cheque payments. They will only accept cash.
This nursing home is not following the rules. Action needs to be taken against this person (Mr. Jalan) and his nursing home.
