It was in on the 8th of December that I decided to but two gift cards for my team members who got married. While one of them was able to successfully redeem it. My other team mate (Ğopesh Gopalakrishnan) could not after coming back from his leave.
Then began our endless chase with your "customer care" people.
We were enlightened that the gift card was consumed by a fake person mike pete or something. I was assured that it would be resolved in the next 48 hours. (some guy called naveen g).
Next I was told that my team mate will receive the gift card in the next 7 working days.
We waited patiently for the next 10 days. There was no call or update from amazon.Then on calling the amazon customer care service and re-explaining the entire scenario to a person called Tanvir, the issue was re-logged/opened (There was no track of my earlier complain).
Again the cycle of 48 hours , 1 week etc. No update or call from Amazon. Again I had to call Amazon around 2nd of Feb (I have lost track of dates as I had to call you all almost every 2 days), explain the entire scenario. This time I was told that there is a separate team for gift cards and is looking into the issue.(From 15 days and with no resolution?)
Frustrated and helpless with the team I asked them to refund my gift card amount(worth 1500 rs) as I didn't see this getting resolved.
Well, anyway I was assured that it will be done in the next 24 hours. It has been more than 10 days to this conversation. Neither is the money refunded nor the issue resolved!! I have had multiple cycles of following up with your "customer care" team but all in vain.
Please note, all the customer care people assured me that they are personally following up with the issue and will update me ASAP. Some of them assured me that they will call me in the next 2 hours.
Well surprise surprise there was never an update or call from the team.
I have been following on emails, calls and facebook with Amazon India from the last 4 months but they have not resolved the issue.
This is a clear case of cheating from Amazon and lack of security!
