Amazon India - Delivery issue for the product which I am emotionally attached to.

Hi Consumer Court,

This complaint is regarding the product "Finger prints and foot print of a baby using clay" which I ordered from Amazon.in website on 12th December 2018. As per the website, the product have a details guaranteed delivery on 13th December 2018. I went ahead and paid extra amount to have a speed delivery to the door step address clearly in my order and my contact number as well. I have paid extra amount for speed delivery as I wanted to get the product delivered on time and on 13th December itself even if it is late night of 13th I was fine with that. But these people from Amazon, called me only once on my number on 13th December and the guy was in the area. But he did not locate the exact address which is a door step address and went back without delivering the product. I did not receive any SMS with delivery guy name and contact number. If I would have got the sms, I could have called him. He called me only once and went ahead without delivering my product.

Please help me sir as the product which I have ordered is for my brother's baby's first birthday which is on 14th December. Why these people have a tag "Guaranteed delivery on so and so date" for all the products if they are unable to deliver on time even for the customers who pay extra amount for delivery and extra amount for gift wrap. What is the use of paying extra amount, if I don't get the product delivered on time. When I checked my Amazon account, it says that the product is returned to Amazon again as customer has rejected or canceled the product delivery. Why would I do that?????? These people do things on their own and blame customer indicating that customer has rejected the product. After seeing my product status, I called to Amazon customer care only to hear from the agent that I need to order another product as the previous one was returned. What an answer to a customer who selected you people for buying a product. Is this the way you people from Amazon handle customers ?? And after some discussion, call was transferred to another guy and he spoke with me and gave same option to order again. This has completely wasted my precious time in which I was expecting the product to be gifted to my brother's baby. Later after some discussion, he disconnected the call by telling me the same that he will be disconnecting the call. I called them again and another guy replaced the order from his end meaning same product is ordered from his end with the address I mentioned and he told that product will not be delivered on 13th as it was late night to which I agreed and he promised me that the product will be delivered on 14th December 2018. Now when I go back to account, it shows that product will be shipped on 14th and delivery on 15th which is Saturday. What will I do with the gift if the birthday is passed???


Very much irritating and disappointing....even after paying, I don't get the product on time. Atleast delivery guy could have called me 2-3 times that he is unable to locate address. I even did not have contact number to call him back as the number which he used to call me is not a mobile number. I think he uses some device to make calls. It is not the mobile number. Else I would have called him.

Please please help me in this regard as I am really helpless. I wasted my amount by selecting Amazon and not getting the product delivered. I will be sharing my product order or tracking ID once I hear back from you.


Please help me as this product is not about money I spent but it is about the emotional thing I am attached to the product. Sorry to write so long but I had no other choice to express the issue I faced. Sorry again. Please help me.

The amount I am mentioning here in claim amount is just to make Amazon realize and deliver the product as per their statements on their website for all the customers. Live and be committed to statements you have on your website. Having guaranteed delivery tag but no product in hand.

Please correct me if my description or if my attempt for this is wrong. I will understand this is how Amazon works and will think alot before i order any product online.
