I recently migrated from Airtel to Vodafone (with number portability) as Airtel network in my office as well as residence area is very poor. My number got ported to Vodafone on 11th February. Then I got a bill from Airtel (upto 13th February). I paid the concerned bill promptly.
I still kept on getting payment reminders on phone as well as email. I told them that I have made the concerned payment. They usually call at the time when one is not in possition to give them details (receipt no or date of payment). Then they threatened me to suspend my number on 21st April. I sent them the bill as well as the receipt. Now they are saying that they have credited the payment in my another account (I also have a Airtel datacard). They said they will check and get back to me.

However, today they have suspended my number.

I have been an Airtel client (with same number) since 2005 with impeccable payment records.
Most of my contacts have this number. It will be very difficult for me to change this number.
Don't they value their clients and their past records? This is an obvious case of harressment and torture. I feel completely helpless. Is this how they behave? Is it my fault if they have made mistake of crediting the amount in another account?

Can you help me restore my mobile number?
