My name is Babu B Varghese, from Manakkala, Adoor, Pathanamthitta. I have taken 4 LIC policy 10 years ago and the agent told me that I would get protection of Rs 2,50,000 Sum Assured after maturity. I had been paid Rs 12,000 X 4 = 48, 000/ year for 4 different policies. All these policies will be mature on 22-03-2021 and I was expected to get 2,50,000 X 4 = 10,00,000 (Ten Lakh). But I got a paper from LIC says that I should get 54,000 on maturity and this was mentioned in the document. but I had been paying the amount for the expectation for Ten Lakh upon Maturity, this was conveyed by the agent when I took the policy. I called them, no proper response and I contacted LIC customer care and they said, can’t do anything.
Sir, I was paying this much Rupees yearly to the expectation of a maturity amount and this incident shows that I have been cheated by the agents or indirectly LIC. They have put Rs 2,50,000 in the receipt as Sum Assured (SA). Sir, please help me what can I do at this situation.
