The complainant boarded the daily service bus at around 15:00 hrs on 19.04.20`16 from Bhagalpur in order to reach Alamnagar, approximately 3 hrs from Bhagalpur. Before entering the bus he inquired regarding the destination from the bus conductor to which he said that the bus was going to Alamnagar. So, the complainant paid an amount of Rs 100/- in order to purchase the ticket and occupied a sit. After the bus had started and had covered a distance of 20 minutes, the complaiant came to know that the bus was going to Maheshkhut and not Alamnanagar, which is in the opposite direction. The complainant stopped the bus and asked the conductor to refund his money as he had given him the wrong information, to which the bus conductor refused and therefore the complainant got off the bus.
The unduly behaviour of the conductor of the bus run by the daily bus service has caused a lot of mental harassment and physical discomfort as he had to take the trouble and look for another mode of transportation to reach his destination, i.e. Alamnagar along with the monetary loss that he had to suffer as he, being a student was carrying just sufficient money to buy one ticket.
