On 26th September2015 I purchased Videocon 32" LED tv for Rs29000 (when similar tv's were available for 23000). This was because the dealer told me that there is a 'scheme' by Videocon running where I get D2H television free for one year. No brochure was given. At the time the TV was installed too I had to call the dealer few times to get the dish installed and the t.v. assembled. No written information was given by Videocon nor the dealer regarding the D2H subscription terms and conditions. Nor was proper information available on-screen.
27th March 2016, on return from 3 day visit to Mumbai, without prior notice the channels were disconnected. On 28th March 2016 all of a sudden my name appears on screen along with customer id and base pack d2h flexi pack. I have not activated any packs because I do not know how to, and I informed the supervisor telephonically on helpline It is very evident that Videocon has been up to something that I as a customer have been duped into.
After registering a complaint telephonically on 27th March, where in dealers name and contact details were provided to the supervisor, no steps have been initiated against the dealer, who enjoys commissions from Videocon, but I as a customer have been duped.
As it stands today, I have spent 6000 for 6 months of dish tv viewing, which is a huge ripoff by videocon.
I sincerely hope videocon considers the plight of their customers seriously.
