Use of substandard materials and poor supervision resulting in water seepage and damp formation

Due to the use of substandard materials and as it seems poor supervision in construction of the apartment complex, Eden Brookside, 118, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kolkata – 700104, by the Eden Group, has resulted in continuous water seepage from the roof and walls and damp formation inside many flats in the complex.
The apartment complex was handed over to the association (Eden Brookside Apartment Owners Association, registered under the West Bengal Apartment Ownership Act 1972 with Regd number – 11 A of 2016) in September 2016.
During the handover process the Eden Group had assured us that all matters which needs the promoters involvement will be fully rectified if and when required even after the handover.
Further after many more communications with them with no response, we approached the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal, Kolkata – 700087 to redress our grievances against Eden Group on
21/02/ 2018 with a follow up on 14/03/2018.

Tripartite meetings were arranged by Shri.S.Pramanik (Assistant Director) Consumer Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal, on 17/04/2018, 04/06/2018 and 18/07/2018.
But unfortunately till date there has been not communication from the Eden Group regarding any matter whatsoever and they even failed to turn up or send any representative to the tripartite meeting of 18/07/2018.
Taking into consideration the slack and laid back response and attitude from their side, and not responding or attending meetings, we have come to the conclusion that they are only interested to sell apartments by using substandard materials and poor supervision in construction and is no way interested to rectify the genuine faults and defects arising from those, which we feel is their responsibility alone.
