Ordered AC from Amazon received defective product and now Amazon is not returning it

I had ordered in LG 1.5 ton five star AC from Amazon. I received the product on 19th of April on the same day. I had requested for a return of the product due to the damage compressor. There are 2/3 sports where the compressor is damaged, I had requested Amazon to return the product. They have taken multiple times return request, but the return got rejected. I hate, raise and complaint regarding the same and they have checked into the issue also, but ultimately the product is not written after multiple return request and its failure at last. Amazon has asked me to keep the defective product and use it as they cannot, return the product now. I am trying to reach to consumer forum and consumer helpline number to help me with the issue. I hope I get the resolution for the same. It’s been almost 20 days. I am trying to return the AC, but the company is not helping me out.
