Dear Sir ,
My Elder Brother, Late Mr. Vivekananda Bose was holding a saving Account and Five Fixed deposits at your Post office, Patipukur Branch, Calcutta -700048. All the details are given below.
He suddenly expired on . He had nominated me, Himanshu Bose his younger brother and my son His Nephew, Ishan Bose in all his accounts, details given above.
We have applied for the withdrawal of the amounts from the accounts, with all the necessary documents two months back on with the sub post master Mr. Dey.
In spite of my repeated reminders and calls from Delhi, the forms are still lying in the Post office.
The First excuse given by Mr. Dey, the Post master at Patipukur was a fire in Belghata Post office with all the systems down.
The second excuse was the system, Network at the Patipukur Post office is not working and there is no help from the Head Office to him.
The third excuse he gave me that he doesn’t have enough staff despite of him asking help from Head office, he doesn’t have time to work on my papers. On the very first day when I and my son ( I travelled from Delhi and my son from Bangalore ) he demoralised me saying it is very difficult to take out money from Post office and was send to the belghata post office to collect the withdrawal form as he didn’t have them. His motive can be clearly understood.
In spite of declaration of nominee by my brother we are facing the hardship, where as it is clearly written in the post office that a Nominee will get the money paid within seven days, here two months have passed on, the papers are still lying at the Post office. This way not only we the valued customers are harassed, these peoples are giving our nations postal services a bad name. We are losing confidence on the Postal Services.
Hoping for a proper investigation and the money is transferred to us.
I visited the post office again on 2/07/2016 all the way from Delhi to enquire. He again asks me to deposit the cheque book of my brother and wants few forms to be signed by my son , who is in bangalore. He could have checked the documents at the begining when we had deposited the forms.I have to send them at Bangalore to get it signed by my son.
I would request you to intervene and also take care that there is no hindrance from the Patipukur Post office or they try to hamper with the process and the release of the money.
