I booked Ola in Pune for my minor son who after giving exam at 3pm was waiting to come back home (30km) from the school which is in quite a remote area as far as public transport goes. And because I was stuck in urgent meeting in city, I could not go to pick him (though I dropped him in morning). Ola driver called me at 3.03pm and asked exact location to come. When informed the location he asked what is the mode of payment. On informing that it is post paid thru Ola, he refused and said that if I will pay cash then only he will come or he will cancel and I should try to book another one.
Now the choice I had at that moment was either to accept the driver's demand or rebook another cab. Fearing that I might not get the rebooking urgently as my son was very tired and was not feeling well, I agreed to driver's demand.
As soon as my son got picked up he went into nap as he was tired and not well too. And the driver took him for a ride for a double time longer route. And on reaching home I asked him why he took 2 hour for 1 hour ride and why the bill was for 1144 instead of 564, he replied he followed the route as shown to him by company. And he started arguing when I told him that money already deducted from my account by Ola. He said that I will get refund from company within 24 hours.
And to avoid embarrassment as other resident in society were looking, I paid him 1150. After this I lodged complaint with Ola. They have credited 490 to my wallet and informed as RESOLVED. But I received post paid bill, in which they are still charging me 564 for which I already paid driver cash and he informed company already deducted from his account. Over and above this I am slapped with late fees of 100/-.
Now I want Ola to remove 564/- from bill along with late fee to unable me to clear balance dues.
