Complaint regrading service of BSNL land phone inoperational for months

It is not a new news that the service of BSNL land phones have been degrading over last few years. But now it has reached it's lowest level.

In last three months, my landline have been operational only for 2 weeks. And within those 2 weeks, 1 week was just "one-way".

The telephonic complaint system just repeats everytime "..your complaint is already registered.." .
I tried to register a complaint in their website. But ironically the portal to log a complaint [http://www.bsnl.in/customer-care.html] itself does not work.

And this is not a disconnected incident. While this time thay took it to extreme level, but before also every month the line would be down at least 1 week.

However at the end of the month, when it's time to send the bill, then they never make any mistake.

This month the bill we received, exceeded the rental. Plus there was also a "Service charge". Service charge !!! are you kidding me ??? After this kind of service, there's even a 'service charge'.

I strongly believe BSNL has no right to ask for any rental when they fail to give proper service.. The Government should bring in a law so that the rental is adjusted based on the availability of service. For example, if out of 2 months it is inoperational for 1 month, the rental should be reduced by 50%.

Asking for full rental and service charge in such circumstances are simply cheating. In fact, it is BSNL who should pay the customer a "damage money" for it's poor service
