I purchased a Samsung A/C in the year 2013 in which the compressor is under warranty for 5 years. On May 2016, compressor stopped working and Samsung is asking me to pay for gas. The complaint was raised on Samsung Toll free nos. with service order no. - 4214149679 on 16 May 2016. No one visited to attend this and a new service order was generated on 17 May 2016. This happened during peak summer and till date i.e. 19 May 2016, after so many follow-ups, Samsung is not ready to rectify and threatening to do whatever I can. This behavior is very unusual from any respectable organization. When I asked them about documentary proof in their bill or any other relevant document stating compressor warranty and no warranty for gas, they did not have any answer. The gas need change as the compressor found faulty due to poor manufacturing process adopted at shop floor and week quality check performed before bringing the lot in the market. Then why should I pay for gas? I confirmed and agreed to pay for Gas if there is any repair or damage. But this was completely due to compressor replacement and due poor manufacturing practices.
I hope the responsible people in Samsung must wake up and do the needful without further delay.
