Over the past two days, I got two nasty surprises from Uber in Kolkata, India. Both the times, I booked cabs under their Uber Pass offer and both the times the fare shown was Rs 99. But after I got off, once the amount deducted was Rs 273.84 (on 20.6.17 for a journey from Garia to Jimmy's Kitchen) and the second time it was Rs 308.78 (on 22.6.17 for a journey from my Brahmapur home to One Auto at Kalikapur, a distance of 7.9 km). What disgusting service!

    On 25.8.17, around 9.30am I have hired uber taxi for Airport & started my ride from manjeera guest house, near CM Camp office, Hyderabad. He left us at Railway station Hyderabad& told that it's your destination. Due to shortage of time We requested him to leave us at Airport & he agreed to leave at Airport @ 1500/-. Even than we missed Delhi bound Indigo flight at 11.50am.
    Kindly see how he fleeced money from us & his name is Jabbu

    Toll charges by Kalyan:

    Took Uber in Chandigarh to airport fare was 181 and driver Tarlochan asked me to pay 90₹ extra for toll and it's not reflecting in the bill. Raised a query n they denied its cash payment not Uber problem.

    Thanks for letting us know about this and sorry to hear that you were charged a toll amount INR 90.00 on your trip.
    However, we've checked and see that there was no toll recorded or charged on this trip at our end. Since this toll was not recorded on our platform, any cash exchanged with your driver is considered outside the Uber's platform and we are unable to compensate for the same.

    Uber has suddenly locked my app and prevented me from booking any new rides stating I have an outstanding payment from Feb 2017. I have written to them numerous emails even showing proof of payment through Paytm. But there is no response from their side and the app still remains locked. This is unfair extortion and asking for double payment for a ride taken 8 months ago.

    Hi, 


    On 1st September when I was trying to book a cab in the afternoon, Uber application showed that there is an outstanding amount of Rs.769.50 and deducted the same from my paytm account. 

    I believe this was an invalid deduction from my account.

    When I reached out to Uber, they said that the deduction was a valid one, since the trip I had taken on 12th February 2017 had a payment error. When I checked my paytm history the amount was infact deducted on 13th February. I agree it was a system glitch and sent them the screenshots of both deductions along with the payment reference numbers.

    It's been 12 days and every time I send an email, they say that there is no ETA and the team is working on it. This kind of service is unacceptable. Uber should learn to prioritize customer requests and be time bound. I cannot keep sending chaser emails every now and then.

    Kindly provide your support in obtaining a refund from uber.

    Today i.e.15sep2017, i booked a cab from dilshad colony to laxmi nagar for Rs 59/- in POOl by mistake my driver end my trip near nirman vihar (on the way) and it shows a fare of Rs 139 and when i did complain, they said this is due to route and navigation this is really bullshit

    Hi Team,

    The route which I took was different from the original route only by only 2-3Km, so this much fare should not be charged.

    A steep increase of Rs 170 doesn't justify the difference in distance.

    Kindly have a look at the Google map and see the difference in both the routes.

    And if this is the case then i think we should boycott uber.

    I booked a cab from Gurgaon to Vikaspuri on 16Sep.2017 for my neighbour.The driver collected Rs.650 as bill.When I checked on my uber app.it still shows outstanding Rs.650.I contacted Uber by mail.The reply is that it was booked for online payment.They are not ready to take action against their driver but still asking customer to pay once again for the trip.

    Im actually so disgusted by your service. So im from kolkata and i have been using Uber for sometime now. For the last three trips i was overcharged by 70-80rs on the basis of "PARKING FEE " and "TOLL TAX" which is supposed to be included in the estimated fare which you show at the start of a trip. At the end of the trip the fare breakup in the driver's phone doesnt include the parking charge and the toll tax and they end up asking me for the same. Every single time i end up in a tussle with the driver and then i lodge a complaint and the money is refunded. WHAT IS THIS? IS THIS LIKE A REGULAR CYCLE NOW? Half of the time you dont bother to reply on the helpline. I would NEVER recommend anybody I know of to ever use an Uber. Its a fraud organisation.
