Expired sweets selling

Today I visited om sweets to purchase sweets. There I found sweets with expiry dates of 22nd June. I asked restaurant staff for expiry reason they said though these are Bengali sweets and not recommended to use expiry date. Then I found a sweet which was expired a day before n restaurant was not aware about the expire. Please look in to this matter and put a penalty on restaurant for selling expired sweets.
