Faulty phone sold by samsung

Respected Sir/Madam,

I bought a samsung Android phone on 4th Feb 2016 from dealer and it became faulty within 10 days of usage. When I approached service center as guided by seller they have confirmed to me that it's circuit needs to be replaced and after that it will be handed over back to me. My simple questions to them why they are not giving a new handset in replacement instead of repaired one.
