i am completely dissatisfied with the response i received from AIRTEL team and wish to escalate this to you. MY PHONE NO IS 9686552601
let me narrate the chronology of events
on 20th march i activated international roaming for a period of 30 days
on 21st march i travelled to singapore and changed my settings to use internet
for use only from free wifi spots. i checked this in my mobile at that time and
all other net usage was deactivated.
i did make use of the calling facility from there on 2-3 occasions. data was
always kept off while i moved in singapore
i returned back on 27th and at that time the value of my billing was about 3000
which was ok
i travelled to thailand on 5th april and once i reached bangkok i got a sms
saying that my total billing was about 23500. i got a shock and immediately
stopped using the mobile and switched it off. I never used my mobile further at
all
after coming to india on 7th april, on 8th april i called and informed about
the sms i received on 5th and the airtel customer support informed me that i
need to wait till the bill is generated. now the bill is generated and i find
the bill totally out of sync with my actual usage which was minimal.
Also i informed ICICI Credit card team to deactivate Airtel from the list of payees and they informed on 7/8th may that i need to take this up with airtel. however Airtel cancelled the SI on the credit card on 9th may and then on 10th may they have debited my icici bank credit card account with 23581. this shows their complete arrogance and disdain for customer, the main issue is the 54 mb of data used which is completely false and has never been used by me during my stay in thailand
