Dear Sir,

I am Sushil Adya Upadhyay writing this mail with a special request to please help me.

Sir, I have worked with "BUSINESS INDIA PUBLICATIONS LIMITED" for almost 6 years (a gap of two months august 2010 & September 2010). When i left the company in May 2013 the outstanding salary was of 9 month (from Sept 2012 – May 2013). I was told by the HR dept (Ms. Chhaya Shah) that the salaries will be released as and when the salaries for other employees are given according to the salary slab. I had received 3 months salary (Sept 12 / Oct 12 / Nov 12) accordingly in the next 3 consecutive months but after that they stopped paying....when I inquired with Mr. RAVI PAI (Head - Accounts) He said that that Mr. ASHOK ADVANI (CHAIRMAN & PUBLISHER) had asked to Stop the salaries from now on to all those employees who had left the company...and will give whenever he is having money.

From Then onwards I started following up regularly to him. I requested him for more than 50 times through EMAILS, SMS, PHONE CALLS....but he didn't even bother to revert me. My Financial situation had got worsen day by day as i was jobless....I along with my wife & 2 daughters were struggling hard to survive and in-order to meet all the day-to-day expenses we have mortgaged all our jewelries we had. It went to such an extreme that we were forced to keep the MANGALSUTRA as mortgaged at a jewelery shop.

Working with Business India Publications limited for almost 6 years had fetched me lots of criticism in all the community because of all those salary backlogs (Not paying bank loans, Credit card defaults, not getting any further loans because of bad CIBIL report not paying money taken from Families & Friends). It is the worst thing which a person can earn after working with such a reputed organisation. It is not a matter of financial problems but its the intention and unwillingness to pay someone.

Then I wrote an Email on 5th march 2014 to Mr. Ashok Advani requesting him and making him aware of all my financial conditions. I was so frustrated that I have wrote the following lines where i mentioned that i will now fight for my rights.

"Hence i am forced to write this mail to you for knowing your intention and decision on releasing my salaries. I know i am a poor person but atleast i can fight for my rights."

The next day he sent an sms to come and collect one salary of Rs. 25000/- which he gave me on 10th March promising me that he will release the remaining salaries of Four and Half Months (Around Rs. 1,00,000) monthly wise. I thanked him and even apologised for using such a language to my seniors on email.

But from that month onwards till date he haven't released any salary. He is not responding to my mail requests, SMS and even phone calls. I spoke to the then Managing Director of the company Ms. Pheroza Billimoria (who had left the company far before i resigned) to help me out from this situation but she said that she cannot help me and I must forget the remaining outstanding salaries.....

Sir, Rs. 1,00,000/- may be a small amount for all those people who are on a senior posts but for a person like me it is a huge amount.

I would like to therefore request you to please look into it and help me out getting my outstanding salaries.

Thanks & Regards,
Sushil A Upadhyay
