Hotel Denied Checkin customer was not resolved by MMT & Hotel

Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that I made a booking of FLIGHT (INDIGO 6E-438 from GOA to Mumbai on Sunday February 21, 2016) + HOTEL (Vivanta by Taj President) through makemytrip.com on February 15, 2016 vide booking ID NP2082254795107.

The cost of the booking for one person was around Rs 13,278. We made a booking for 3 persons (as attached ANNEXURE I) by paying INR 39608/-.

By which I have a clear understanding that we would have 3 Economy flight ticket(s) and 3 Superior Charm City View Queen BED 24.6 sq mt room as per attached ANNEXURE I.

At the time to check-in in to the hotel on February 21, 2016, hotel provides us a room with 3 occupancy wherein the cost I paid was comparatively very high. The instant booking prices for a room as per our booking was only INR 6500 (including breakfast & WIFI).

Hotel denied us to provide 3 separate rooms and was providing us only one room.

I spoke to the representative of Make My Trip (‘MMT’) and Hotel as well.

MMT recognized that the Hotel was supposed to give us 3 rooms, however due to some issue between the Hotel and MMT I was denied to provide 3 rooms and offered only one room with 3 occupancy.

I made call to MMT at the same moment, one of their staff ARCHANA, she stated that it was our misunderstanding and there was only 1 room against the amount charged to us. I clarified that even at I spoke to her, the online portal of MMT showed that, if I make a fresh booking the amount would be similar (i.e. around less than Rs 13500). I spoke at length to SUBHODESH?, while he was much patient and professional, however despite our conversation and lodging the compliant, he failed to send us a written acknowledgment of complaint. I checked the package again at your website and noticed that MMT was wrong in stating that 1 room plus flight options were in the same range of INR 13000 per person, the room in the range of 7500~8250 per person and the air flight even at the last minute was 6500 per person. I paid Rs. 39608, as per attachment. Thus based on my rough calculations, I can safely assume, that Rs 13500X3 person, stands at RS 40,000 approximately. Please check attached screen shots for your reference.

I waited 3 hours of our professional time, had to reschedule are professional meetings, I had to check-in at nearest hotel and spend higher amount of Hotel reservation, besides the loss of faith in make my trip and loss of professional opportunity.

I are still in contact with MMT for refund of our booking amount however, they are unable to resolve the same.

I approached to you Hon’ble office to provide us a relief as our concern being a customer was not resolved by MMT & Hotel. Along with the refund I also intend a prayer for damages of INR 500,000.

    Hi recently booked 2 rooms at aapno ghar resort for check in on 04th sep'16 through MMT. We were a group of 4 friends including 3females and 1male. While making the booking I didn't find anywhere mentioned in their terms and conditions that friend groups are not allowed in hotel. Moreover while making the booking as well it didn't ask me to enter details of co members traveling along. I had booked several holidays in the through mmt but never faced such issue but this the issue was beyond imagination. The hotel manager Mr Singh( surd guy) was extremely rude and unhelpful. I had called MMT as well as mmt to ask few questions regarding hotel and I was advised to confirm it through hotel. I contacted a day before, however they didn't mention anything like this. It was my best friend's birthday who is like a family member to me however it was all spoiled by mmt and this resort. I want to get the refund of my full booking amount along with compensation for spoiling my holiday as I had to spend over 2000 rupees for traveling to and from this resort but we were not allowed to stay there. Had it been made clear while booking hotel that friend groups are not allowed or even by the staff then I wouldn't have booked it. I cannot afford to loose money because of someone else's incompetency. Please look into this as the holiday should get a lesson from it . They don't perform any relevant check at the time of booking and make the customer suffer real time. Instead of having a short memorable weekend getaway on my friends birthday they literally made us cry as after so much of traveling we had to again search for hotel somewhere else and pay high last minute rates.
    Since then I have registered complaint with them twice but they are completely ignoringnit.
