The above referred ticket was booked on 02.10.2016 through Make My Trip portal for two persons (Mr. Harish Arora (a Sr. Citizen) & Mr. Kumar Mohit) for travel on 07.10.2016 from Delhi to Bangalore. Due to some health reasons, Mr. Harish Arora was unable to travel and the same was informed on 5.10.2016 morning around 6 AM by mail / telephone to the concerned representative of Make my Trip and till 10 PM night of 06.10.2016, we were continuously been in touch with Make my Trip on numbers 1-800-11 8747 & 1-800-102 8747 many times including with Ms. Shradha of their reservation section. I was informed by one representative of Make my Trip on evening of 06.10.2016 that my refund claim has been accepted and being processed within another 24 hours and one person Mr. Kumar Mohit can travel and my refund request has been accepted but I was shocked to receive a call from their office number 0120-4509200 at 5.50 pm on 07.10.2016 from one of their representative and he informed that we have to lodge claim with Spicejet and inspite of my repeated requests he has not mentioned his name. On contacting the airline, they informed us that this ticket was issued in a special scheme (non-refundable) and an extra 15% incentive has been given to Make My Trip apart from their regular commission and the claim will be settled only by Make My Trip and not by airline. We are surprised that while booking the ticket, nowhere we have seen such a condition in the portal of Make my Trip regarding non-refund therefore we have proceeded with the booking.
On 08.10.2016, we have lodged a complaint on their portal giving details of all incidents and vide their mail dated 12.10.2016, they asked for medical documents and I provided the same on 14.10.2016.
Now they have shifted the whole responsibility of refund to airlines. Vide their mail dated 15.10.2016, they mentioned as under :
“As per information received from airline they are unable to process the full refund in this regard. We apologize and regret the inconvenience caused.
In this case, you are eligible for an approximate refund of INR 414.”
In view of above, please take up the matter with Make my trip and help me in getting the refund and oblige.
