Troubling during insurance claim in collusion with surveyor

Starting from scratch:
Car details: Regn: HR20 AE 8939, Engine: L12B41004996
Old policy details (expired on 13th Aug 2017): Policy: USG/00146412, Proposal P6337203
On 13th of Aug (last day of my previous policy), I tried to renew the policy online https://www.smcassure.com/SMCASSURE/HAPortal_RenewOnline1.aspx) but couldn't because I got blocked out by a message saying that the insurance has already been renewed.
- Turned out that Classic Honda insurance team had (without any payment or approval from me) already renewed the policy on my behalf and now wanted to me to make urgent payment to some personal account which sounded rather unprofessional. When I said I wanted to renew properly online they sounded very perturbed and rather rude and said 'Sure, try it!'.
- I went to the site only to find that I could not renew policy because of the proposal that had been given by Classic Honda P8227187 - eventually that didn't go through as I had not made the payment and my policy lapsed.
After about 3 days, after surveyor inspection etc. I managed to get the new policy via Classic Honda
Current policy details (17th Aug'17 - 16th Aug'18): Policy: USG/00146412, Proposal P8310439
So, somehow that crisis had been avoided, at least that's what I thought. However, I didn't realize that Classic Honda insurance team had taken some sort of grudge against me which I unfortunately found out recently in last 2-3 days.
My car met with an accident (I, the owner was driving) on 7th Oct when an auto rammed into my car after jumping signal in front of traffic cops. The accident damaged windshield water tank and also scratched the door on left side. I went to classic honda to get the car fixed, left the car there as surveyor wasn't available till 10th Oct... now the classic honda insurance team (in collusion with surveyor) are troubling me with claim process saying scratches from the accident can't be fixed under insurance as the car already had some scratches at the time of renewal (we are talking about dent from auto vs minor scratches from bushes here - as pictures from survey at renewal time will prove).
I gave up and said I don't need to get any work done from Classic Honda (had not approved any repair work as I was still waiting for surveyor estimates etc) but am now being told that they have already started the work and I will now have to pay the full amount -- work which I had not approved because it was not being allowed under insurance claim.
