Ticket Refund - High Cancellation Charges

I have a made a flight booking form Delhi to Kerala on 14th Feb but by mistake it ended up at 11th Dec I called up the airline customer care to cancel and refund the same the very moment and they agreed too but later when I was checking the ticket has not been cancelled and now they are asking for full cancellation charges
