Cheating and harassment by Videocon D2H - Relocation not done

I am sharing below an experience of sheer apathy and harassment I have suffered from Videocon D2H. I hope this should act as an eye opener for prospective Videocon D2H customers and they refrain from buying its D2H connection. Since, Videocon D2H is taken over by Dish TV and they also haven’t done anything to resolve this issue even after writing to their nodal officer, this speaks volumes about the kind of service these guys provide. Should customers still opt to get Videocon D2H/Dish TV connection, it is at their own peril.
My Videocon customer ID is 136775029 and I am in Mumbai. Few days back, I relocated in the same building from 1st floor to 8th floor. Therefore, for relocation of Videocon D2H dish antenna and cable from 1st floor to 8th floor, I registered a relocation request by calling to their customer care number +91 91156 91156 as mentioned on their website. The relocation request was registered on 08-05-2018 and I specifically told customer care executive to send engineer for relocation at around 6 pm on 10-05-2018. The customer care executive said it will be done and he noted my request; however, no request number was provided to me despite promising me so on the phone. (I received an SMS on 09-05-2018 mentioning that Rs. 400 have been debited to my Videocon D2H account as service charges for relocation. They debited this amount even without doing any relocation).
Shortly after registering relocation request, I started getting calls from various people from various phone numbers at odd hours of the day asking whether to come for relocation immediately. To each one, I informed that to come on 10-05-2018 at scheduled time as otherwise nobody will be available at home to attend to them. However, calls from Videocon D2H kept on coming and finally out of frustration, I told one of the callers to come at 5 pm on 09-05-2018. I hurriedly reached home; however, their engineer never came and also nobody called again. I registered a complaint no. 585557174 with their customer care and on SMS I was confirmed that the complaint will be resolved by 10-05-2018 (04.32 pm).
On 10-05-2018, again their engineer called and I requested him to come at 5 pm on the same day. Again hurriedly I reached home. After calling him at least 10-12 times, he finally showed up at 7.30 pm. I showed him the dish and cable on 1st floor from where it was to be removed and then to be taken up to 8th floor for reinstallation. I asked him to see place on 8th floor where it is to be installed, which he refused to see. I told him that I'll wait on 8th floor and he should remove dish and cable from 1st floor and bring it to 8th floor. He said he will do it. I went to 8th floor and waited for long time. Their engineer did not come up. I again went down to see what he is doing, and to my utter surprise, the engineer was gone. He had not removed the dish and cable on 1st floor. He had run away without even informing me. I tried calling him on his mobile number and he was deliberately cutting my calls. After some time he switched off his mobile. His mobile number is +91 81057 02616.
Another shocking part is, when I called customer care to complain, they informed me that the engineer has reported that the job is done! This was absolutely false. He had not even touched the dish and cable. I registered two complaint no. 585942345 and 585943238 and on SMS I was informed that they will be resolved by 11-05-2018 (6.56 pm) and 12-05-2018 (10.59 am). However, the complaints were never resolved and nobody from Videocon D2H even bothered to call and send engineer for relocation.
I had requested their customer care to connect me with someone senior; however they simply kept my phone on hold for long time. As mentioned on their website, I also wrote to their nodal officer Mr. Imran Sheikh on nodalofficer.mum@dishd2h.com and also wrote to customercare@d2h.com; however, neither has anybody responded to it nor issue was resolved. Their customer care simply registers complaint but does nothing thereafter. Till date, the relocation is not done but they have debited Rs. 400 to my account.
The customer service is worst and these guys are cheating and looting people. Very unprofessional behavior by these people. Prospective Videocon D2H customers, beware of this company!
This is a serious fraud being done by Videocon D2H (which is now owned by Dish TV). If any authority is taking note of this post, request to resolve this issue and also take appropriate action to curb such practice.
