I, Dr. Makarand Patil, Dombivli, bought new Ford Figo (MH05EA0411) in March 2019 from Rudra Ford, Mira Road. Car was delivered to me on 30/Mar/2020. Completed 2 services at Rudra Ford, Mira Road on 08/Jun/2019 and 13/Feb/2020. In which wheel alignment and wheel balancing was also done.

On 20/Sep/2020 on my way to Indore my car started vobling. As I reached Indore late night and all tyre shops closed I went to one of the tyre shop next morning. The tyre shop owner on looking at left side back tyre said that the tyre has got bent on inner side and needs to be replaced or it may burst while driving. So I asked him to replace it with the spare tyre in the car. Even after replacement vobling of car didn't stop. So once I reach Dombivli I checked with one the tyre sellers, S V tyres, Dombivli. On checking all four tyres he said that all the tyres have got bent so need to replace all the tyres. So I called Service manager of Rudra ford. He told me to visit ford service center near me. I visited Stayam Ford, Kalyan. Service manager in Satyam Ford asked to file complaint in Goodyear tyres. I filed complaint on 26/Sep/2020 (Complaint no: Q2609200413). Tyres of my car were inspected at Perfect Tyres, Dombivli on 01/Oct/2020. The inspector of tyres told me that manufacturing of these tyres was stopped by Goodyear two years back and these tyres are of lowest quality provided by Goodyear. They don't have same quality tyres and they will replace new tyres which are costlier than the existing tyres alongwith which I have also to pay the losses of tyres due to wear and tear, which amounted to Rs. 10,500/-. I was left with no option to change the tyres (14,000 Kms approximately) at that moment as I was in need of car to go to office and I had no other option to travel to office due to lockdown.

I complained to M/s.Ford India Limited via Mail. They told that they won't be able to help in this matter, as tyres are already replaced by Goodyear.

I further state that I have purchased the Car along with Tyres from M/s. Ford India Limited and not only Car without tyres. Therefore the company, M/s. Ford India Limited is solely responsible to provide good tyres along with car and the same has been neglected by Company, M/s. Ford India Limited.

My concern:
1. How can a reputed company like Ford be irresponsible to give such a low quality tyres in the name of cost cutting?

2. Who would have been responsible if the tyres of my car would have burst and I met with my accident?

3. I need compensation for the excess amount I had paid for new tyres (Rs.10,500/-) with the mental harassments I went through during this period which is amounted to Rs.4,00,000/-(including cost of litigation)
