Respected Sir,
I have bought Gold earrings of weight 17.110 gms which also contain stones weighing 13.2 Ct. At the time of buying, I was told that they were precious stones and so I was charged Rs.14,170/- for the weight of the stones. Currently, I am in Dublin, Ireland, pursuing my Post Graduation. As I needed some money, my wife and mother-in-law went to Joyalukkas, Vijayawada branch, to return the ornament with the original bill and take back my money. To my utter shock and dismay, the store manager told me that he would only give me the amount equivalent to the prevailing gold rate for the net weight of Gold as the stones are worthless. On probing further, he said that the Value Addition charged on the bill includes the cost of making the ornament with the stones. He further agreed that I had paid money for stones which are not precious stones.
I spent more than an hour trying to understand the logic behind what the store manager was saying but to no avail.
I beseech your kind self, to look into this matter and do me justice.
