Vodafone India - Mental harassment during postpaid to prepaid conversion

This is a Vodafone Postpaid number. On Last Saturday i.e. 2-Sep-17, I went to Vodafone Store and submitted the Request to convert it into Prepaid. The SIM was issued
and they told that the number will be activated with 8 hrs. But still the Postpaid number is in service.

When I checked with customer care, they are telling that I should visit to visit store in order to know the updates. Now the problem is, I am out of station for 10 days.
So want to know, What customer will do in this case. why they are treating the customer like that.

I really got frustrated with this kind of service. How can a telecommunication company do this with their consumers?
