I registered a compliant of my Sony Bravia LED TV, Model No. KDL-46NX810, 50667135 vide Job/ Complaint No. J60730160, Dt. 26.03.2016, the problem was that there was no display on the screen. The TV was taken by the authorized service center M/s Jaypee Electronics, having service center at B-59, Ground Floor, Sector - 6, Uttar Pradesh 201301 and after checking it, They informed us that two parts are not working so need to be changed the same which will be estimated cost of Rs.12,203/-(as per estimate given to us and copy of the same attached herewith). I made advance payment of Rs.12,203/- vide cheque no. 038567 dt. 04.04.2016 payable at Central Bank of India, Faridabad, Haryana, India against the estimate bearing Serial No. 5515966 and was continuously following up for the status. It took a lot of time since the parts were to be imported from Singapore. (as informed by M/s Jaypee Electronics,(Sony Authorized Service Centre) But Now on 15th April 2016, M/s Jaypee Electronics told me that the company has stopped to make spare parts of this model, since the model has been upgraded by the Company. So they asked me to purchase a new TV and offered 25% discount on purchase of new TV instead of repairing the same. Now the question arises here that was the service center not aware of the fact that the defaulting parts are not available as they charged advance money from me and with multiple follow ups they are saying that parts are not available. How it is possible that those parts are not available with Sony. I do understand about technology upgradation but the common parts remain same (as we can see various examples of automobile industry). The same thing was confirmed by customer care also. in spite of filling several complaint to the Sony India Pvt. Ltd., their CRO also saying the same.
