I had bought a Panasonic LED 42E6-42” on 7th September, 2013 from Kohinoor Televideo Pvt. Ltd under Tax Invoice No. GBR/353346 and Order No. ORD1422649 for Rs. 45,333.33/-. The above LED has 3 (Three) Years Manufacturer’s Warranty which is also mentioned on the Dealers Tax Invoice bearing No GBR/353346. The chassis/serial number of the LED is 13PBL02845.
Within the warranty period the LED TVs display developed a problem and started showing a dark blue screen. By an E-mail dated July 7, 2016 sent to the Dealer, I explained about the LED’s Display issue and requested to arrange for a Technician for resolving the aforesaid issue.
The said Dealer vide an E-mail dated July 8, 2016 informed me that their technician will visit my home within 48 (Forty-Eight) working hours and had registered the Complaint bearing Complaint No.R080716040178. In the subsequent email they also assigned another complaint no. R080716037466.
To the shock and surprise, instead of resolving the issue which was within the Warranty Period, Panasonic called and informed me that the model similar to the said Product is not available and I will have to pay for a replacement which will not be same as the said Product. I had bought a 42 inches Smart HD LED and they were offering a 40 inches and that too for a cost.
By various E-mails including emails dated July 12, 2016, July 13, 2016 & 14, 2016 I informed and updated the said Dealer about the pending issue and requested the Dealer to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Vide an E-mail dated July 13, 2016 Panasonic informed me that the part which is responsible for the issue in the said Product is not available and made an offer to me to accept the alternate model (which is different than the said Product) by paying extra money.
I stated that the offer was not at all acceptable to me as the said Product was within the prescribed warranty period and I was not in any manner liable to pay any extra money for the replacement of product which is within the warranty.
Later by an E-mail dated July 19, 2016 Panasonic came with another offer with reduced price offer and that was also not accepted and I requested Panasonic to provide 40” Inch LED if not 42” Inch without any extra cost.
By an E-mail dated July 26, 2016 I requested Panasonic to reconsider their offer and allow them 2 (Two) more days to respond. However I have not received any response from them.
