dispaly panel repair soon after waranty ends

i purchased sony led tv model number klv-32r482b on 02-19-2014 costly 36900 rs. soon after the waranty ends tv automatically gets switch off and red light blinks for six times below the screen, it happen in jan 2016. on contacting sony service on telephone they reply that the display panel has to be replaced which costs upto 15000 rs.
did i paid 36000 for sony led for just 1 year. or it is meant only for 1 year use. in feb the tv got automatically started and now its working, feel that i got cheated by purchasing this sony led. sony service also say that why didn't you purchased extended warranty. i want this issue to be solved as soon as possible. working condition tv image is also uploaded
