Double VAT charged in bill, purchased dry fruits from M/s Dry Fruit House

I purchased dry fruits from M/s Dry Fruit House, #4, Sai Arcade, Kothanur Main Road, JP Nagar-7th Phase, Bengalure on 19th July'17. The shop keeper has charged VAT @14.5% and 5.5% amounting to Rs. 139.30. He has not given GST invoice in spite of my repeated request. How can some body raise VAT invoice post 1st July'17 ?

    Dear Customer,

    Due to issue with software upgrade of POS system we were forced to use old billing template. This issue is now sorted.

    you could have reached us on the telephone number mentioned in bill for any further clarification and assistance.

    In the above bill there is no double tax. For Dates fruit tax was 5.5% and for others it was 14.5% under VAT which is not effective anymore.

    Under GST for all items in bill falls under 12% tax slab. Above all our Price of items are inclusive of tax, and what was seen in bill is just giving the different tax component.
