i have purchased a sofa set advertised by Mr manjeet on olx for Rs.15000, deal was rs 2000 advance and balance on delivery.
i paid 2000 advance, then he said that i m from indian army and our rule says you have to pat gst 4100 which is refundable at the time of delivery.
believing i paid 4100,
Next they said i have to pay full amount otherwise the furniture will not be released from the gate of army campus.
i made that payment also.
then they asked for rs 7400 as late delivery charges claiming that this is military rule & the amount is refundable in cash. again paid.
Next he said i have to pay rs 9999 to get the refund amount which is to be billed.
although i was getting suspicious but believing that these may be the govt. rules paid till now.
but this time i did not pay & insisted on meeting the person.
he denied & said i will meet only after rs.9999 is paid.
this cleared the person is fraud.
