Vodafone Wrong Chek Name

Dear Sir/ Madam,


My father- Mr. Sushil Kumar Parwal had been using Vodafone Post Paid Mobile connection (Ph: 9830071759). After his sudden death I got the number changed to my name by submitting KYC documents along with my father's death certificate. I had to submit an additonal advance fees (approx.5000) to get the number transferred to my name, which the company said will send me the full and final balance through chek.


To my horror the cheks have been issued in my dead father's name and when I visited Vodafone store ( 4E, Stephan House, Ground Floor, Beside HDFC bank, BBD Bag, Kolkata, West Bengal 700001) between 5:00pm-5:30pm, I was told by the Vodafone Represntative that the chek cannot be issued in my name. Not only it hurts me emotionally but also amuses me that how can a company issue chek in name of the person who is already dead (when they have a copy of death certificate)? I feel completely cheated and request you to help me in this matter.
