Mobile phone policy changed by amazon

i was purchased one mobile from amazon on 7 March 2016. but when i call amazon for return & refund they tell this policy has been changed from 7 feb.2016.
but when i purchased this phone no alert or Notification coming regarding change this policy also on amazon site they does not disply on front page so everybody see.
they only update at bottom of front page in some folder so how can i know about this big change.
even they dont highlight this change in my arear news paper like Sandesh,Gujarat samachar or Divya bhaskar also.
