I have my Hyundai Xcent Car with registration number MH04GU9949. I renewed my car insurance online with Oriental insurance Company with validity from 17/06/2016 to 16/06/2017(policy number 345702/31/2017/1298.
I met an accident on 14/07/2016 with a public vehicle and car was damaged. On the same day I contacted to Oriental Insurance in their Orisa Office on phone number 06726-220586. Mr. Majhi consulted me to contact a nearest branch in Thane, Maharashtra and compete the intimation procedure. I approached Mrs. Aarti Bagera to get the form and approached to the Hyundai Service Center for the further repairs. M/s Hyundai provided an estimate of approximately INR 25,000 to 30,000 and mentioned that as my policy is not ZERO DEBT policy, I can be refunded an approximate amount of INR 22,000 to 24,000.
On 23/07/2016, I got my car back with repairs completed and the invoice of INR 38,999 and the fees of surveyor INR 1,740. I was informed by the Thane branch that unless I pay the fees of surveyor, they will not send my documents to Orisa office. Upon all payment obligations, I was informed that the documents were submitted to Orisa office. Despite of request to provide me the despatch details of these documents, Thane branch office never provided me such details, resulting into inability to track the documents.
Mr. Majhi from Orisa office had promised that the claim will be settled within 15 days fom the receipt of documents in his office, whereas, after few phone calls also the documents were not traceable.
I have expedited them with many phone calls and emails dated 28/07/16, 12/09/16, 15/09/16 and latest on 22/09/2016 (surendra.majhi@orientalinsurance.co.in, aarti.bangera@orientalinsurance.co.in) to know the status which are never responded. I sent SMS to Mr. Majhi on his cell number (00919437278672) on 26/09/2016 requesting the feedback and anticipated date of settlement with complete break-up. In turn he messaged me that he will revert next day i.e. 27/06/2016.
Since it is more than two months since the payments to all parties are made by me and in the perview of no response from M/s Oriental Insurance, may I request you take up this matter and support me in compensating the claim appropriately.
I am attaching the Invoice and surveyor payment receipt here. Rest of the documents are in PDF and can be sent on request.
