I am Abhishek Mittal, Baner resident and have been seeing Dr. Suparna Telang in Psychiatry department of Ruby Hall. I want to bring to your attention my recent experience with Dr. Telang.
I started undergoing Depression treatment from Nov 14th onwards under Dr. Suparna Telang. She asked me to go through some tests: Vitamins, Lipid etc. which I did. On my next visit on Nov 28th, she told me that I have to undergo a "Erection Test" and asked me to come after a week. I reached Ruby Hall again on Dec 5th and she told me that she cannot the perform the test as she doesn't have the machine available to do the test . The reason she gave was - she has shifted to a new building and in the process didn't move all her stuff. She asked the receptionist to refund the consulting fees of Rs 1000. Then she told me to come to Usha Nursing Home on MG road on same day and told me that she can do the test there. I agreed and reached Usha Nursing Home at 8 pm. There she asked me to come in her cabin where she did the test using a Glass Tube and was done in 2 minutes. Afterwards I asked her the cost of Test and she told me Rs 5000 for the test and Rs 1000 for the consulting. I was shocked to hear the price and couldn't understand the reason for such huge cost for 2 minutes test. Then I asked here if I can pay by card for which she refused and said will only accept cash. After paying Rs 5000 cash I asked for the receipt for which she showed reluctance, telling me that she doesn't usually give receipts for such tests. Somehow she agreed to give me a receipt and gave me one, which doesn't even look like a authentic receipt. It doesn't have TIN number also. I called Ruby Hall enquiring about the test and came to know there is no such test. I realized I was ripped off.
It is unfortunate that in our country such things have become common in one of the most respected professions. I am writing to you in the hope that this matter will be taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken against Dr. Telang. Please find the scanned copy of the receipts attached with this mail.

Just for a concern. And this is just my opinion. I think Your matter is not usual and should be taken care of immediately. Medical negligence and fraud should not be accepted at any cost as it directly affect health of the person and entire family. I my opinion, you should make a police complaint(if possible) as this is not just a matter of broken TV/or broken mobile or Non-refund for any electronics. It directly affect your health and your well-being.

Hi...I am soumya...I have myself undergone for a treatment under Dr suparna telang. She always fools patients and never tells them the real fact,thus keeping everyone in dark.
