This grievance is about the huge electricity bill which I got from Bescom. My name is Aravind and I am staying in a rented flat-3rd Floor (Address and other details as provided as below). I am staying here from since 1st March,2016. And I did not get any electricity bill from Bescom till June,2016. The flat owner is also staying in the ground floor flat and every month I am paying the flat rent to the owner without any penalty. Every month, while paying the flat rent I kept on enquiring the flat owner about the electricity bill for which she told that Meter kept for measuring the consumption of electricity has not been allotted the Meter Number by Bescom. This continued for each month and all of a sudden on July,2016; I am getting a huge electricity bill from Bescom with penalty dues. Hence,I request you to take appropriate action against the Bescom authorities for their negligence. Also, request you to replace our faulty Digital Meter which records power consumption even if the main switch is switched off. Thanking you in your anticipation. Account ID 0006065000. This pertains to a shop at Muneeshwara nagar. There are other shops in the same building. For the past two months the bill amount is very much on the higher side. On an average I have been paying only Rs. 2000/-on odd maximum. For the past two months the bill amount is Rs 4000/- and odd which is almost double. I am also not getting the electricity bills. The same may be looked into especially the excess billing.
