Package Lost In Transit No Action By Company Since 30 days

2 cartons sent from Coimbatore to Dehradun on 5th June. One received after a month, another one seems to have been misplaced.
Constant follow-ups with the local VRL office and no action being taken Formal email complaint sent on 7 Aug and then 16 Aug, apart from several follow ups on phone with Dehradun VRL manager (Ph: 6307078027)

Local manager says he's on leave for 10 days and will start investigation after that.
We followup after 12 days. He has absolutely no urgency to look into the matter. When asked if complaint can be escalated to a senior, he says there is no one
What kind of ownership is this. Firstly a grave error by VRL and then zero responsibility or care to rectify this?
Need compensation for the lost package (invoices already shared in formal complaint) , grave distress caused to our business and amount of time and effort put in.
