Dear Sir,
This is With reference to the above subject line.
My Name is Vikram from Mumbai and currently travelling in USA for business purpose. I have activated the IR pack for 30 days on my Airtel postpaid number +917718838310. Airtel has deactivated my IR pack without any reason and intimation. My calls and data service has been blocked by Airtel and they have restored it after period of 83Hr. During this period I experienced a lot of trouble as mentioned below.
1) I have activated the pack on 23rd Jan and it got initialize upon arrival i.e. on 25th Jan. The pack has been deactivated by airtel on 1st Feb at 4AM (EST, New York time). I received the message regarding the same.
2)I called Airtel customer care team on 121 and they just registered the case .The Team leader had given me a timeline of 24hr to resolve the issues, but failed to resolved.
3)I sent an email to Airtel customer care on the same day in order to get this resolved asap and I got the reply on 2nd day with very basic inputs. It was observed that, they did not done the ground work and did not collected information and just simply sent me an formal email.
4)Since the problem did not resolved after 24hr, I sent complaint message on twitter, I also escalated the issues with Airtel nodal office, Grievance team and higher authority like ombudsperson@bharti.in on email but nobody replied me back. From day 2 ,I was continuously in touch with twitter team to get this resolved.
5)After tremendous follow-up from my side, they were able to resolved it on 4th Feb, 3PM (EST, New York time).
6)In between this period, I faced a lot of challenges, safety concerns. I went through few danger situations where I did not had anything to contact family/team and I was stacked on road in tremendous cold weather.
7)During this entire case, I experienced a lack of professionalism with few of the Airtel team members, for e.g. they were keeping the calls on hold for more than 2 min and this happened several time on single call. Without muting the calls, they were speaking with somebody else or on other calls. They were communicating the same drafted/fragmented sentences again and again rather than showing passion to resolve the customer issues.
8)At the last, the services were restored after period of 83Hr and with the lot of follow up. I want to log my complaint against Airtel for mental harassment, frustration, Failure in providing services within timeline, Safety concerns because of the issues, Inappropriate answers to the questions, Lack of seriousness and professionalism towards customer issues, Major delays in providing solutions to the customer. I have raised the same complaint and compensation request of Rs 20000 to the Airtel team but seems that they are not serious about this and not providing satisfactory answers. Kindly look into this and help to get the compensation.
