Residents ,shopkeepers are still remains dissatisfied with
progress in ongoing project work
Big patches has been digged up , said to be for replacing water
pipe, telephone & other cables, then sidelining the same. Work
is going on since more then 3 month period, still shall continue,
how long MMRCL wants to trouble shop keepers whose business
is affected by more then 60% due to Footpath,Road blockade,
similarly Residents of such Building have no easy entry/exit
have to walk to enter/exit Building
MMRCL has occupied half portion of footpath & some portion
of Main Road. Tenants who have car, two wheeler are forced to
park their vehicle else where. MMRCL has not extended any help
Many Buildings are old, say more then 100 years , are load bearing ,
portion very near such Buildings, adjoining Building are digged out by
say 4-5 feet deep ,MMRCL claims there is no danger to Building ,
however there is wide feeling that Building shall definitely becomes
weak, future remains uncertain.Some tenants have obtained opinion
,they also opine Building shall become weak,
We agree ,Metro Rail Project is must for a better life of Mumbaikar but
Govt/MMRL should also look at inconvenience of shopkeepers, Residents
& also think upon safety of Tenants. Future safe lives of Residents
