Non Refund of Deposit by Narayana School

Regarding by Kid, LAKSHYA BAJPAI, who wanted to take admission in NARAYANA SCHOOL, GURGAON in LKG but withdrew admission request due to various events stated below:-

1. Misrepresentation of facts by School admission counsellor. Refundable security deposit being taken during registration and later denying the same by the school admission counsellor. When we cited that we have the school fee details in his own handwriting where he mentions that the sum is refundable, he started begging not to mention the same else his job will be at stake.

2. Differential treatment to different parents in terms of discounts (We have specific cases)

3. The School is yet to be get rightful affiliation (heard from some sources, not sure)

4. My wife kept waiting for 2 hours on 12 April 2016 but she was not allowed to meet with teachers who would be attending to my kid !!!. The receptionist did not have basic courtesy and showed callous attitude while dealing with a very basic request of meeting teachers or head mistress which I think all parents are entitled to. To top the rudeness, the marketing person of school (I think his name was Mr Shinde), made a mockery of her on phone and instead of resolving the issue hung the receiver on her face.

I think it is understood that decision to choose a school is not a simple commodity purchase but is based on trust as parents send their most lovable part for almost half day in alien world. With the behavior which was depicted even before the start of this trust relationship, we do not have any basis to believe on the words of Narayana School Gurgaon. Also given that school staff is so rude, callous and un-aligned that we cant trust it with our kids.

Considering all, we have decided to withdraw our kid's admission request from your school but when we asked for refund our various pleas and emails have gone unattended. Various phone calls to Ms Raj Lakshmi have gone unattended.

While we are ready to stay with information provided by the school(Mr Praveen Saini), and leave our claim for INR 1000 which was given as School Application fees but would request school to refund our INR 10000 (Receipt No. 403-0000903 dated 17 April 2016) which was deposited as refundable security deposit for which we have relevant evidence.

Meanwhile after the sequence on events on April 12, 2016 and before, I have already registered my complaint in Consumer forum (dated 12 April 2012, Complaint No. 677228). The school is so arrogant not to have replied to even this email.

Would Request refund of INR 10000 at the earliest by NARAYANA SCHOOL, GURGAON.
