Money transfer through through fake call claiming RBI executive for Bank of Baroda

My father in law got a call on 23rd Jul, 2016 from +91-9674464923. He said his name is Neeraj Agarwal. This person is creating panic saying your Bank of Baroda ATM card and bank account is blocked. He asked to give Aadhar card details and ATM number to unblock it. He told him that he is calling from RBI, Bandra Kurla complex from the ATM card activation department. Unfortunately my father in law provided all the information on phone. This was happened because the person provided all his credential information upfront like how much balance left in your account ...since when you have not used. Hence my father in law trusted him and provided information. Surprisingly when he did online transaction OTP was generated which also he mentioned to my father in law by telling each single digit for confirmation. How they can hack OTP ? Is security so weak at telephone provider or at Banking service where anyone can hake information so easily.

I do not know how such people generate the guts and do not scared about law? Someone has to take a call on these people, they don;t even fear law as they usually call from a different state and very well know that authorities will never make a move or do anything unless there is a big crime!!!!

When told him not to call again, he started abusing and when even told that we will launch a police complaint. This person is not moved & started more abusing language. All these conversation recorded on my phone line which can be produce as evidence.

Wake up Authorities and set an example by catching just few of these fraudsters, play it widely in Media and I am sure it will make them understand the fear of LAW before it goes out of hand.

Needless to say...neither Bank of Baroda nor Police helped in this case. We truly lost trust on BOB a/c as their information easily available to fraudsters / hacker.

There is no point of TRAI's "Not To Call" list, when frauds like these can call and interfere in your privacy (morever being abusive)!
