Complain against restaurant for Excess Tax

VAT has been charged as 12.5% on full bill amount as Rs 102.44, also again
25% VAT has been charged on aerated beverage as Rs 19.25. so why double VAT has been charged?

When asked the restaurant they said except for service charge rest all taxes goes to the government, so does that mean in the name of government, the restaurant is charging excess tax and pocketing this extra amount?

    Hi.

    I went for dinner at GYPSY FAMILY DHABHA at Sardarni, Jodhpur. I got a total bill of amount rs307. I was charged service tax at 6% instead of 5.6% amounting to rs 18. and some extra charges at 14.5% on 79% of total bill amount (amounting to rs9) plus 5.5% on 21% of total bill amount (amounting to rs13).

    I asked the biller about these taxes, he didn't knew about them. In the bill also they have not mentioned which tax is what. There have just written Tax1 and Tax2, keeping customer in total ignorance.

    Yesterday i had dinner with my family at zaffrans bandra and the Tital bill was Rs. 1988 and after adding taxs it came upto Rs .2695 the food quality also was pathetic why have i been charged so much
    Sub Total - Rs 1988
    Service charge 10 % - Rs 199
    Vat 13 .5 % - Rs 258
    Vat 13.5 % - Rs 23
    Vat 25% - Rs 26
    Service Tax - Rs 131
    Total - Rs 2625

    Here i have pay 75.00rs for 1ltr minrel bottle . Then there is also a extra tax vat tac srv tax n more 2 tax .

    hi.
    i have purchased a skybag laguage bag from brand factory chinchwad pune.
    at the time of billing tgey have charged me vat 12.5% . when i enquired it is to be charged less on laguage bags
    but they didnt refund my money
    so where should i lodge a complaint

    Charging more than MRP for a bottled water by Karan Parekh:

    This incident happened at Rabdiwala restaurant in borivali west.
    The printed MRP was Rs.20 and they charged Rs.25 in the bill and over and above this they charged gst on it.
    When we asked them to revise this they said that it is a table charge. When did this happen!

    Hi,
    Me and my paetnerr went to BSE (BAR STOCK EXCHANGE LOWER PAREL KAMLA MILL COMPOUND)
    And they have added 10% service charge in the bill +18% GST TAXES ALSO. Saying that it is not aplicable.I do have copy if that bill and card swipe receipt also for to cross verify.
    Kindly do the needfull and take action against them.

    After gst first time we had visited sizzle house no wonder food is good but the restaurant is cheating customer by forcefully taking 10% extra as service tax when govt has told only to take gst of 18% still the restaurant is "looting" customers
    Our govt states "One country one tax" this ppl are not following this

    Sir, I had a dinner dt 31st july at My Bar Headquarter address N 49,2nd floor,Connaught place,New delhi. They were charged service charge of 10% on total bill amount forcefully as at the time of enterting they had hiven a slip indicating to charge service charge.

    As service charge is related to service provide by them then how could they force us to pay upfront.

    Hence it is requested to take neccessary action against them.

    Dear sir
    Even after GST implications knowing the fact that they are recovering that against the supply orders they should have charged only 50% to the customer or atleast reduce price
    But they have kept prices same and charging 22% GST plus service charges which means for a bill of 450 we end up paying 550 100 rd more

    This is nothing but cheating by CCD
    Plz take action against them
