My name is Himanshu Desai holding a bank account Piplod branch, Surat Gujarat. I use the iMobile App by ICICI Bank on my cellphone. I want to bring to your notice that on 3rd January, 2017, I added Mr. Hardik Wadhwani (ICICI Bank, Althan Branch Surat) and transferred funds of Rs. 24,000(Twenty Four Thousand) to his account.
Later I learnt that there was an error in the bank account number entry and instead of 23990*******, I entered 29090******* and the amount got credited to the entered account. Post that, I addressed the issue to the ICICI Bank Piplod Branch and have been following up at their convenience. All I get to hear is they will try doing something. As such if the account number and the name of the account holder is not same then it is a flaw in the App. No notification came up from the App or the Bank's end on the account number and account holder not being in congruence.
Its been more than five months and to my surprise, today after all the procedures done, I am hearing that we can't do anything from our side. You have to file a FIR. I mean this is what nation's largest bank treat their customers. I badly need that money. Please help.
