Refusal of replacement of handset under warranty

I had purchased a Apple I phone 5 which got conked off after a few days. When taken to the Apple Service centre in Thane, Maharashtra, they did the screening of the mobile and took it for replacement. However after few days the service center returned the handset saying it has some part missing and hence cannot be covered under warranty.
Th complaint is if they have checked the phone and did the screening after which they themselves confirmed that I will get a fresh piece and now they are denying. This is a case of negligence on their part since the mobile was with the service center.
Kindly issue us a replacement of the mobile as it is still under warranty
