Dear Sir/Madam,
I had purchased a microwave oven in Aug 2012 from LG which cost INR 22000/-. In April 2018 I faced a problem of oven not heating. I logged a complaint and one parts known as magnetron was changed and I was charged ~INR 2000/-. The company said it has 3 months warranty and within next three months the same problem was reappeared 3 times and three times magnetron was changed. Initially service engineer asked me to pay money but I denied and finally they changed magnetron without any cost. when last time the problem again reappeared and I told them that there could be some other problem, they said yes cavity needs to be changed but the part is not available and since its within 5 years of purchase, you throw out the oven and buy a new one from LG and we will give 15% discount as per company policy. I told them this is not done. Five years ago 22000/- was a good amount of money and when we bought it, company didn't inform the consumer that the parts may not be available within five years and in that case we will give a discount of 15% in case consumer buy another LG microwave oven. As a customer I feel CHEATED. Moreover the way LG customer care handled the issue is horrible. They stopped communicating and didn't close the complaint. I have many other appliances from LG and this is first time I am facing this problem. I have promised myself not to buy any further product from LG. But I also thought other consumer should not suffer like this. Therefore, in hope of getting proper repair/compensation/justice from LG, I am raising this point. (Complaint No- RNP180708041025).
