I am a user of HP LPG Gas and my details are under:

I had a problem with my LPG cylinder the details of which are set forth in elaborate detail in the trailing mails. I starting getting a gas stench the day i installed the LPG Cylinder. This stench continued for 2 days. On 2nd day there was a liquid found beneath the cylinder having same stench. On checking, the cylinder was found to be nearly empty with only 1.7 kg gas left in the cylinder. We have a consumption pattern of 1 cylinder for more than 2 months which is evident from our usage history. However HP blamed us for the entire matter saying we must have used the cylinder for some function which is why its empty. Secondly it also denied any responsibility for defect in the cylinder. My complaint here is HP is at fault on either or both of the following:

1)The cylinder had a defect which is why it emitted the fluid with stench. Reason being the stench stopped immediately after the cylinder was taken out of the house. I was provided a replacement but after paying full cost. Moreover HP technician said we either accepted a cylinder with low weight or used it entirely within a day due to which only 1.7 kg gas was left in the cylinder. The weight as recorded by the mechanic is evident in the mechanic report attached herewith.

2) the agency in question i.e. Alert Gas Agency is involved in supplying cylinders with low weight. Considering our average usage pattern of 2 cylinders per day, and our usage of the concerned cylinder for 1 day, we can assume that our consumption was 0.25 kg approx. This means the cylinder supplied to us had 2 kg gas when delivered.

Kindly take necessary disciplinary action against HP as they are outright denying any responsibility of the matter and passing entire blame of the issue on us. Please further note that such a casual approach of HP in dealing with consumer complaints can cost serious loss of life and property.
