My Adani Electricity Acct number : 152417290 , Meter no : 9071028 , In the Name of Rohit Gupta
Suddenly in the month of April we have received a bill of amount 70000 , when we called the helpline number we have been informed that there was a amount due before the name change (i.e. 5 years ago in 2017) , so the same amount is added in your current bill and due was as against the name follow:

So there is two time name change happened , but as per policy acct number is same and now on the basis of acct number they are asking us to pay the amount.
Apart from this they are humulating us that they will cut the meter and all , also they are wasting our time by calling in office on weekdays.
I had visited the collection department , it was informed that there was a cheque bounced by old owner , My question is when i came for name change why it was not highlighted.
Am i eligible to pay for some others mistakes
