Hi ,
I have purchase TATA SKY HD+ set top box in Nov 2014 for 7650 Rs where there is a facility to record the events which are broadcasted and you have subscription to as per your plan.
I am a premium customer who goes for annual recharge every year. My last recharge was MEGA HD which has a subscription of all the channels. My Last recharge expired on 28th Jan .
During the active period I recorded some of the contents. To my surprise I was not able to watch the recorded programmes post 28th Jan as they have deactivated my set top box.
As per email TATA SKY says you need to pay money to watch recorded content also.
Its like when you have internet connection you downloaded a movie and once your internet expires you are asked to pay for the internet else you cannot watch the downloaded content also
TATA Sky replied they deactivated the Set top Box and hence I cannot watch anything and this is as per company policy.
Why should I pay for something I already paid??? I have purchased set top box and it is not on lease from TATA SKY . I should be able to watch the content which was recorded for which I already paid huge amount.
When I logged a complaint there was no reply. Post my escalation to nodal officer there was apathetic reply .
To SUM UP they ask money to watch same content again and again .
