I have applied for standard charted bank credit card and got the card in the year 2012.
The card No. was 4622 7153 5015 3626
I have used the card for few times and not received the statement for two months. I was not able to know the exact amount to pay and where to drop the payment cheque.
After two months I got the call from customer care to pay outstanding amount. I have also received the statement through mail and paid the outstanding amount after deducting the charges for late payment.
I did so because; it wasn't my fault to pay the amount late.
I requested to customer care several times to waved off the late payment charges but they didn't.
I requested to cancel my card immediately, but they keep on sending statement every month with additional charges.
Sir, I assured you that, the outstanding amount they claimed are only the charges towards late payment of the transaction. I have already paid the amount which is legally used by me.
If I had some other intention, I should not pay the amount. I have not used the card there after.
So, Sir I request you to intervene in the matter as they regularly sending me the mail and threatened me for legal action. I am working with the cooperative sector and worried a lot for the matter.
