Faulty MPV for softner has stopped working since last 2 days

My softner has stopped working since last 2 days and company technician has asked me to get MPV replaced (at my own cost). The MPV (presure valve) was changed earlier too by the company within guarantee period at no cost, But my question is that this replaced MPV should also carry it 1 year guarantee and should be replace free of cost specially considering I have spent money in applying pressure valve to prevent MPV on the company technician advise.
